60 Before 60 Project: #41 - List My Top 60 Favourite Movies of All Time

I love watching movies. There is something about settling into a comfy seat and escaping into another world for a couple of hours that I really enjoy.
So for my 60 Before 60 Project, I thought I would be fun to list and share 60 of my all-time favourite movies. Along with being something interesting to do, I thought this might also be a good legacy exercise. It could provide me the chance to formally share some memories of an activity that I really enjoyed doing and brought me both positive memories and joy.
I also discovered this was an interesting exercise to go through.
First, 60 movies is a long list and as I started to put it together, I found myself thinking about it all the time as I tried to remember all the movies that I enjoyed the most or had the most meaning to me.
To help me do this, I decided that I needed to use some type of approach in creating this list. Here’s the criteria I used;
Meaning; I decided that I would list the movies that I had watched that had some type of meaning to me. Whether it was because they inspired me, were associated with spending happy times with family or friends or linked to some specific time or event in either my life or the world, this is how they made the list
Watchability; All of these movies I have watched a minimum of two times and would gladly watch them again
Timeless; I think all these movies seem to have stood the test of time. Whether it's the story, the overall message or how it was filmed, as I think about each one of them, they all seem to be just as relevant today as to when I first watched them
I did attempt to prioritize them, but this proved a much more difficult exercise to do as they are all so different and all had a different reason for making my list.
So, in no particular order are my top 60 favourite movies of all time;
